December is a month full of special days. Whether you are celebrating Las Posadas, Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa or Boxing Day, it is a time for family, for friends, and for peace.
Each of these celebrations involves light. It’s time to break of your candles, yule log, advent wreath, oil lamps, menorah or your flame of choice and chase away the darkest time of the year for the northern hemisphere.
This week, a look at the dark days of winter.

Quote of the week: "I heard the bells, on Christmas Day, Their old, familiar carols play, And wild and sweet The words repeat Of peace on earth, good will to men." - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (American educator and poet , 1809 - 1882)
On the Mickey Mouse Club, Wednesday was Anything Can Happen Day.
The goal of Anything Can Happen Wednesdays is education. It may be a bit off the wall at times, but it will be educational, I promise. Sometimes it will be technical, sometimes it will be grabbed from the headlines, sometimes it will be oriented towards personal growth.
There will be no pop quizzes, no final exams, no oral dissertations. Just enjoy it.
